INTENSIVE COURSES
A course may last from 1 to 24 weeks. Each course meets from Monday to Friday in the morning. The courses, divided into 6 levels, aim to give students an accurate knowledge of written and spoken Italian as well as the ability to express themselves. For this reason both grammatical structure and the practical side of the language are thoroughly covered at all levels, with particular attention given to correct and complete forms of expression. Any student who is not an “absolute beginner” must take a written and an oral test on the first day of school in order to be placed at the most appropriate level. Each level has a 4-week program. There will be an exam at the end of each 4-week course. At the end of the study period, students will receive a certificate for the levels or courses that they have successfully completed.
THE YEARLY COURSE
The course, taught over 12 months, allows the beginner student to gradually learn the language and culture, until the student completely masters both the spoken and written language. The classes are held for four lessons a day, Monday through Friday, for a total of 960 lessons.
COMBINED COURSES
In addition to the intensive course in the morning, the student takes individual lessons in the afternoon which are designed to focus on specific aspects of Italian, at a suitable pace for that student’s needs.
SEMI-INTENSIVE COURSE
This course is intended for those who wish to learn Italian but also have more free time than on the Intensive Courses. Each course lasts 4 weeks with 4 lessons a day from Monday to Thursday in the morning. The program, the method and the dates are the same as those of the intensive courses.
PREPARATION FOR C.I.L.S – CELI – ROMA 3 EXAMS
The course prepares students for C.I.L.S – CELI – ROMA 3 exam using exercises similar to those which they will be expected to complete in the exam. During the year ISTITUTO EUROPEO organizes afternoon courses. The course must have a minimum of 3 students enrolled. Private lessons may also be arranged.
INDIVIDUAL COURSES
These courses are recommended for those who must learn Italian in a short time and who wish to study specific professional and/or cultural areas in depth. In this situation we will create a special course, tailored to the needs of the student. The program is constructed on the basis of specific requests. The duration of the course is left to the student’s discretion. The individual courses can start at any time of the year.
